The Vault: A Modular Revolution in Retail

We're thrilled to unveil our first retail collaboration with interior designer Maryna Korak.

"The Vault" is an avant-garde high fashion concept store that challenges traditional notions of retail design and product display.

At the heart of The Vault’s ingenuity is the unparalleled adaptability of TERMINO’s modular systems. The store serves as a living showcase for seven distinct TERMINO configurations, each demonstrating the system’s ability to transform and evolve with the needs of the space.

The systems can be reconfigured infinitely to cater to shifting product ranges and interior shifts, but can also be seamlessly removed to allow space for hosting events, exhibitions or more.

The TERMINO system's modular nature therefore offers the store owner a unique sense of freedom and creativity in imagining their space, setting a new standard for adaptability and innovation in the retail world.

Alongside the TERMINO system's benefits of flexibility here, Korak's space itself is thoughtfully constructed with the ideal immersive retail experience in mind.

At first glance, The Vault is a bold visual statement. The floor, a polished expanse of gleaming green bricks, exudes a surreal vibrancy. The perimeter walls are covered with wooden panels meticulously stained and varnished to echo the floor's rich tone, creating a harmonious cocoon of colour and texture.

Above, an inverted stepped ceiling of polished concrete culminates in a cathedral-like dome, softly reflecting light back into the space. This interplay of materials creates an environment that is strikingly unique yet deeply inviting.

The central feature—a sunken display area inspired by midcentury conversation pits—reimagines how fashion is presented. Here, objects are displayed with a gallery-like reverence while still retaining an approachable and playful spirit.

Surrounding this centrepiece, rows of multi-sectioned green-stained wood arches line the space, forming dynamic corridors that frame movement and add architectural depth. Sunken wall niches for rails and product displays further maximize utility while maintaining a clean, cohesive aesthetic.

The checkerboard-patterned cash desk exemplifies the flexibility of the TERMINO system, blending open shelving and hidden drawers to balance display and storage needs. Stainless steel and recycled aluminium components harmonise with the green brick floor, creating a gleaming contemporary aesthetic.

The Vault is more than a retail environment; it’s Maryna Korak's experiment in multidimensional design. Borrowing aesthetics from disparate eras and blending them with cutting-edge modularity, the space defies easy categorization.

The shimmering green bricks are bold and futuristic, yet comforting and timeless. The sunken display pit invites exploration, while the cathedral-like dome creates an air of reverence and calm.

The Vault is a space that celebrates the art of transformation, proving that great design can be practical, playful, and endlessly adaptable.
